Vor der dramatischen Kulisse der oft schneebedeckten Berge des Cairngorm-Massivs und ausgedehnten Flächen des Abernethy-Walds umfasst Nethy Bridge die tieferen Ausläufer des Flusses Nethy, ungefähr eine Meile, bevor dieser in den Fluss Spey mündet, einem der wichtigsten schottischen Lachsflüsse.

Die namensgebende Brücke selbst, die im klassischen Stil des Ingenieur Telford gehalten ist, befindet sich im Zentrum des Orts.

Abernethy Open Gardens

Magnificent Meconopsis in one of the gardens

This year it will be held on the last Sunday of June - 26th. There will be about 10 interesting local gardens, and we hope to get some interest this year in vegetables. We have chosen the Abernethy Old Kirk Association as our recipient to help them with their plans to make the building available for the local community. Please tell your friends!

Nethy Bridge bietet die volle Spanne an Unterkünften, von Hotels über Bed-and-Breakfast bis hin zu Selbstversorger-Einrichtungen, und einen leichten Zugang zu einer Fülle von Aktivitäten.

Met op de achtergrond de indrukwekkende, vaak met sneeuw bedekte toppen van de Cairngorms en het uitgestrekte Abernethy Woud ( eigendom van de RSPB ) ligt Nethy Bridge aan de benedenloop van de rivier de Nethy, een mijl voordat deze de Spey bereikt, een van Schotlands belangrijkste rivieren voor het vissen op zalm.

Nethy Bridge is trots op zijn scala aan accommodatie mogelijkheden, van hotels en bed-and-breakfasts tot self-catering huisjes. Bovendien is het een goed uitgangspunt voor allerlei activiteiten.
