Wildlife and Green Initiative

Nethy Bridge, known as “The Forest Village” attracts walkers and those who like other outdoor activities. Visitors find that the quality of environment is enjoyable and refreshing as are the spectacular views, wide open spaces, colourful landscape and trees all of which are in a clean and unspoilt area where wildlife abounds.

Since the beginning of 2007 the Committee has been working hard developing an initiative to promote Nethy Bridge and the surrounding area.

The result can be split into three categories:

Another key element of this marketing initiative is to “enhance visitors’ wildlife experience”.

NBTA are funding purpose-built squirrel
and bird feeders.

So far, two sites have been chosen. These feeding stations will include interpretive panels providing information about the wildlife feeding at the stations.

Many visitors to Nethy are environmentally conscious and expect those in the area to be like minded. Therefore, the third element of this marketing initiative is to promote Nethy as
being a “truly green village”.

Using the slogan “Nethy’s going greener” NBTA are encouraging all in the village to adopt greener practices. A leaflet was distributed throughout the village recommending simple actions that people can take to go greener

The village store will be stocking and selling eco-friendly bags whose design includes the Forest Village logo.

This marketing initiative is designed to highlight and enhance
Nethy Bridge's attractions for locals and visitors alike.
