Planning your visit
The village of Nethybridge is about 5 miles south of Grantown on
Spey in Inverness-shire, and about 30 miles south of the city of InvernessLocation

- Main competitions for athletics and
traditional heavy events start at 12.00 pm
- Opening Parade of Massed Pipes and
Drums is at 1.15pm
- The Pipes and Drums parade again another three times during
the afternoon
- The Games finish at around 5.00pm*
* it may be a little
later depending on how long the events take to complete Admission

- £18 for
a family of two adults and up to three children
We do not sell tickets
in advance (don't worry, we have never turned anyone away and the queues are never
more than a few minutes). As our Games field is quite small there are no grandstands
there are benches provided around the edge of the field - first come, first served,
no charge. ParkingThere is free car parking close to the field, with
disabled parking close to the main entrance. Catering and other sales
- Full catering service on the field including a beer tent
- Trade stands selling
crafts, gifts, outdoor clothing, and highland dress items
- Amusements and side
shows.
If you come along in the morning any time after 10.30 there is a
programme of children's events(and some for the parents as well!) Travel by
Steam Train - You can travel to the Games by Steam Train on the Strathspey
Railway - from Aviemore to Broomhill, about a mile from Nethybridge
- An inclusive
return ticket- train travel, transfer by minibus to Nethybridge and entry to the
Games
- Special late train departs Broomhill 5.30pm
