The cottage dates from 1900, possibly earlier.

It was fully restored in 1995 and is now 4 star graded self catering accommodation disabled category 2.

It sits next to the new family home in 3 acres of pines, grassland, heather and duck ponds.

Owners/occupiers

For thirty five years it was the home of the McGillivray family where the head of the family was a master builder and joiner.

Valery Fleming of The Dell of Abernethy married David Dean in 1974 and the cottage became their first home together.
