Health
The school has regular visits from the Doctor, Dentist and School Nurse. General health, eyesight, hearing, speech and teeth are checked and parents are entitled to attend such examinations if they wish. The speech therapist also visits the school periodically.

School Uniform
Blue sweatshirts and T-shirts with the school logo are available from the P.T.A.
These worn with grey or navy skirts or trousers provide a smart and comfortable uniform. Children are encouraged to wear their uniform at all times.

Transfer to Secondary School
At the end of Primary 7 pupils transfer to Grantown Grammar School. Before the end of the Summer Term, P7 pupils are taken on a visit to familiarise them with their new school and members of Grantown staff visit this school to talk to pupils about their courses.

PTA
The school has an active PTA who have raised much needed funds by organising sponsored cycles, book fairs, an annual school fete and a Burns Supper. Money raised has enabled the school to purchase Applemac computers for each class, a Camcorder and many other useful resources.

Wildlife Area
The school has its own wildlife area with a pond and bird boxes. The pond is inhabited by frogs, newts and insects. Red squirrels are often seen in the area and the school has a large list of birds spotted in the grounds, including tawny owl, buzzard and of course the crested tit, who appears on the school logo
