Aviemore to Nethy Bridge
From June 1st 2002 (subject to Railway's Inspectorate approval), Broomhill Station, just outside the village, becomes the new terminus for the Strathspey Steam Railway, from Aviemore, via Boat of Garten.
The new extension, which almost doubles the length of the journey, is the first part of a long-term plan to re-establish a rail link all the way to Grantown on Spey.
