Abernethy Highland Games

Held every August in the heart of Nethy Bridge, the Abernethy Highland Games are among Scotland’s oldest and most traditional gatherings. Known as “The Friendly Games,” they bring together locals and visitors for a full day of Highland dancing, piping, athletics, and heavy events, alongside live music, local food, and family fun.

The Games have been a highlight of the local calendar for generations, celebrating Highland culture, sport, and community spirit. Each year, the field fills with the sound of Massed Pipe Bands, with around 150 pipers and drummers taking part in this unforgettable spectacle.
