Local History
Nethy Bridge has a long and fascinating story shaped by people, place and landscape. From ancient Pictish stones and chambered cairns to medieval Castle Roy and the four Thomas Telford bridges, the village is surrounded by history at every turn. The forests, rivers, and hills tell their own tale too of glaciation, timber and the connection between community and environment.
You can explore more stories, photographs and memories from the village in our Village Blog, where we share pieces of local history and heritage contributed by residents and visitors alike.
If you have historical information, photos, or memories to share, please email: community.centre@nethybridge.com
