Throughout the year, Explore Abernethy hosts walks and talks celebrating the area’s wildlife, landscapes and heritage.
Upcoming Dates:
Sunday, April 26: Explore Abernethy Dawn Chorus Walk with RSPB rangers. Meet at 6am outside Nethy Bridge Community Centre.
Sunday, June 14: Explore Abernethy History Walk from Dorback Lodge to Brig o' Broon, with Stuart Black, Ed Curley and others. Meet at 1pm outside Nethy Bridge Community Centre to condense cars.
Get Involved
Volunteers are at the heart of Explore Abernethy. You don’t need special skills, just an interest in nature and a willingness to get involved. Every bit of help contributes to keeping the forest paths open and the village welcoming for both locals and visitors. To find out more, contact us.

We are setting up a friendly, informal volunteer group to carry out tasks which don't require professional skills. Basic tools will be provided.

About
Located within the Community Centre, the Explore Abernethy Visitor Centre offers a great introduction to the village and its surroundings. Discover local trails, wildlife and history through interactive displays, maps and exhibits.
You’re welcome to drop in, share your wildlife sightings on the board and see what others have spotted. The Centre is often unmanned, but the Community Ranger calls in regularly.
The Centre has ample parking, wheelchair access and accessible toilets.
