Nethy Bridge is a village shaped as much by its houses as by its landscape. From croft houses and forest workers’ homes to villas, farms, hotels and estate buildings, each place carries traces of the people who lived and worked here and the changing life of the parish.

This blog brings together a growing record of house names and properties in Nethy Bridge and the surrounding area. Some entries include construction dates, former uses or stories passed down through families. Others are simply names, waiting for their history to be uncovered. Both are important. Together they form a picture of how the village has grown over time.

The list below is based on a long-standing local history database and community knowledge. It is not complete and it is not fixed. Like the village itself, it continues to evolve as new information comes to light.

If you recognise a house, have memories to share, or can add dates, photographs or corrections, you are warmly encouraged to get in touch. This is intended to be a shared record, built with care, curiosity and respect for Nethy’s past.
